7. Information From Minors

Children under the age of 18 years are not permitted to access our platform/website/application or use our services.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

By using our platform/website/application, you represent that you are at least 18 and have legal capacity or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the platform/website/application.

If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. maak is devoted to preserving your personal information and respecting your privacy. We make every attempt to protect sensitive information, and we’ve created this privacy and security statement to share and clarify maak’s best practices methods.

maak has implemented all necessary technical, administrative safeguards and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from being lost or misused, or inappropriately or accidentally accessed, used, shared or destroyed.

  • When information and account data are processed, they are saved in line with PCI-DSS standards.
  • Data will be encrypted and sent in a secure environment.
  • Only maak personnel and approved individuals, involved in data processing, will have access to our database (the “Authorized Personnel“).
  • maak servers are kept in a secure place with only Authorized Personnel having access.

According to Lebanese legislation and regulatory standards, Authorized Personnel are required to comply with all rules relating to data protection.

We limit the access to your personal data to Authorized Personnel in order to provide you with the services. We keep suitable administrative, technological, and physical precautions in place to protect the personal data we have about you from accidental or illegal destruction, loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other kind of unlawful processing.

maak shall not disclose customer information to any third person other than its officers, employees, agents unless the disclosure is required by the law. maak may disclose customers’ information and Third Party’s Information to other third parties, where reasonably necessary, for the purposes of prevention and detection of crimes, prosecution of offenders, for national security or when required by law. The customer consents to the transfer of Restricted Information inside Lebanon. Each customer has the right to access and ask for a copy of his/her information. The customer may also correct information which is incomplete, inaccurate or out-of-date.
